1. About the Journal

The Open Access Journal on Engineering Applications (OAJEA) publishes peer-reviewed articles that advance engineering theory and practical applications. We welcome original research, review articles, case studies, and technical notes across all engineering disciplines.

2. Manuscript Categories

• Original Research Articles — Full-length papers presenting novel research and significant results.
• Review Articles — Comprehensive and critical syntheses of current knowledge on a focused topic.
• Case Studies / Application Papers — Reports on real-world implementations and lessons learned.
• Technical Notes / Short Communications — Brief reports of new methods, prototypes, or preliminary results.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the points below.

3.1 General Formatting

• Language: English.
• File formats: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (PDF + source files).
• Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; line spacing: 1.5; A4 page size; 1-inch margins.
• Number all pages consecutively and include line numbers in review version if possible.
• Use SI units throughout.

3.2 Manuscript Structure

1. Title page: Title, full author names, affiliations, corresponding author (email, postal address), ORCID (optional).
2. Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing background, methods, main results, and conclusions.
3. Keywords: 4–6 keywords.
4. Main text: Introduction; Methods/Materials; Results; Discussion; Conclusion.
5. Acknowledgments: Funding, contributions, and permissions.
6. Declarations: Conflicts of interest, author contributions, funding statements.
7. References: Use IEEE style (consistent).
8. Figures & Tables: Numbered sequentially with captions. Submit high-resolution figures (≥300 dpi).

3.3 Figures, Tables & Supplementary Files

Provide figures in PNG, JPEG, or TIFF. Include editable source files if possible (e.g., Excel for tables; original vector for plots). Supply supplementary data as separate files.

4. References

References must be complete and consistent. We recommend the IEEE citation style. Example:

[1] A. B. Author, "Title of paper," Journal Name, vol. 10, no. 2, pp. 100–110, 2022.

Use citation managers (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero) to maintain consistency.

5. Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the OAJEA online submission portal.

Submission checklist:

• Cover letter (brief) indicating type of manuscript and significance.
• Title page with author details.
• Main manuscript file (blind for review).
• Separate file with author details for double-blind review.
• High-resolution figures and any supplementary files.

Corresponding author must confirm that the manuscript is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and that all authors have approved the submission.

6. Peer Review Policy

OAJEA uses a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Decisions may be: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

Typical editorial timeline: initial check (1–2 weeks), peer review (1–2 weeks), revision cycles vary.

7. Open Access & Copyright

All published articles are open access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license unless otherwise stated. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right to publish and disseminate the work.

Article Processing Charges (APC): Currently no APC is charged. If APC policy changes, authors will be notified on the website and during submission.

8. Ethical Policy

• OAJEA adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
• Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
• Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited and will result in rejection or retraction.
• Human or animal studies must include ethical approval statements where applicable.

9. Data Availability & Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to deposit data and code in public repositories and include data availability statements in their manuscripts.
