Archive Policy

Open Access Journal on Engineering Applications (OAJEA) ensures long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content through multiple trusted archiving and preservation systems.

1. Digital Preservation

OAJEA utilizes multiple digital preservation strategies to ensure the permanent availability and accessibility of its scholarly content, even in the event of data loss or system failure.

Internet Archive: All published issues and articles of OAJEA are archived in the Internet Archive archive.org/@hafiz_lab — a trusted open digital library that provides free, long-term preservation and public access.

2. Institutional Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit published versions (Publisher PDF) of their articles in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject repositories (arXiv, ResearchGate, Academia, Others)
  • Personal or institutional web pages

No embargo period applies.

3. Self-Archiving Policy

OAJEA allows authors to self-archive:

  • Preprint (Submitted version) – allowed immediately.
  • Postprint (Accepted version) – allowed immediately.
  • Publisher’s PDF (Final published version) – allowed immediately under the journal’s open access license (CC BY 4.0).
4. Data Backup

The journal maintains multiple backups of all content in secure cloud servers (Google Drive, S3) and offline storage. Regular automated and manual backups ensure quick restoration if needed.
